Women's Ministry
The women’s ministry at Immanuel is known as L.W.M.L. which is short for Lutheran Women’s Mission League. This local group is in association with the much larger national organization of the same name.
Immanuel’s evening LWML meets five times a year (January, March, May, September, and November). Meetings are always on the second Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
Meetings include a program prepared by the Christian Growth Committee which may include Bible studies or outside speakers.
Voluntary support of Mission projects, selected by delegates at conventions, are gathered through the use of Mite Boxes. Our local society also designates a mission project for each meeting which may include local charities and/or gathering items for particular causes such as SHELTER or COLLEGE CARE PACKAGES.
All women are encouraged to come for our fellowship, education, and the opportunity to “Serve the Lord with Gladness” which is the theme of Lutheran Women in Mission.
