Pastor James Erickson (Pastor Jim)
James D. Erickson graduated with a master of divinity degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, in 1982. He served his vicarage at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Alpena, Michigan, in 1980. Following graduation in 1982, he was called as associate pastor and is presently serving as Senior Pastor. Pastor and his wife Lisa, who serves as the parish nurse, have two children, twins: Kaleigh and Luke.
Associate Pastor Joshua Schultz
Pastor Schultz is a 2014 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, Indiana where he received a Master of Divinity degree. He served his vicarage at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph, Michigan. He and his wife, Amy, were married in August 2010. They have four children, Claire, Micah, Anna, and Lucy.
Deacon Alfred Kersten
Al Kersten is a 2014 graduate of the Deacon and Pre-specific Ministry Pastors (SMT) Training Program of the Michigan District Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. He is married to Pamela and they have two adult children and four grandchildren. Al has a total of thirty years service as an elder/lay minister in four congregations. He will concentrate on Outreach/Visitation Ministries at Immanuel.
Becky Sommerfeld – Lead Secretary
Mrs. Becky Sommerfeld is the lead secretary serving mornings in the Immanuel Church office. She and her husband, David, have two boys, Mathew and Chase.
Brenda Woytaszek – Assistant Secretary
Linda Woytaszek – Custodian
Mrs. Linda Woytaszek is the church custodian. Linda and her husband, Butch, have five adult children. Brian, Chris, Amanda, and Brenda. Their son, John, is with the Lord.
